Marketing strategy, structure, and momentum - built for growth.
I work with leadership teams to clarify direction, align marketing execution, and build systems that scale.
Practical, hands-on consulting focused on strategy, capability, and commercial outcomes - not agency noise.
Marketing is rarely the problem on its own.
More often, it’s clarity, structure, and alignment.
What I Do
I help businesses bring clarity and structure to their marketing - particularly at moments of growth, change, or complexity.
The work sits at the intersection of strategy, team structure, and execution. This can include reviewing how marketing is currently operating, identifying gaps or friction, and designing practical ways forward that teams can actually deliver against.
I’m often brought in when:
Marketing feels busy but not fully effective
Growth has outpaced structure
Teams are looking to align multiple priorities and ways of working
Leaders want a clearer line of sight between strategy and results
The focus is always commercial and pragmatic - building momentum, not theory.
The work typically takes shape through a small number of focused engagements.
Services
-
Marketing Audit and Review
A structured, objective review of how your marketing function is currently operating - across strategy, capability, processes, and performance.
This engagement is designed to surface what’s working, what isn’t, and where effort or investment isn’t translating into impact. It typically includes an assessment of strategy alignment, team structure, ways of working, agency or partner models, and key channels.
The outcome is a clear, prioritised view of:
- Gaps and friction within the current marketing setup
- Risks or inefficiencies limiting performance
- Opportunities to simplify, strengthen, or refocus effort
This work often becomes the foundation for broader strategic or structural considerations - but it also stands alone as a clarity exercise for leadership teams.
-
Marketing Strategy Development
Strategic clarity on where marketing should focus, how it should show up, and what needs to happen next to support the business.
This work helps leadership teams translate business objectives into a clear marketing direction - defining priorities, audiences, positioning, and the role marketing plays in driving growth. It provides a practical bridge between ambition and execution.
Typical outputs include:
- Clear strategic priorities and focus areas
- Defined roles for channels, campaigns, and initiatives
- A roadmap that balances short-term momentum with longer-term capability
The emphasis is on decision-making and alignment - ensuring teams are working towards the same outcomes, with a shared understanding of what matters most.
-
Marketing Ecosystem Build
Designing a coherent marketing ecosystem that connects strategy, people, partners, and execution.
This work focuses on how all elements of marketing operate together as a system - ensuring roles, responsibilities, workflows, and external relationships are aligned and reinforcing, rather than fragmented.
It typically involves:
- Defining how strategy, planning, execution, and reporting connect
- Clarifying the interaction between internal teams, agencies, and specialists
- Designing governance, decision-making, and operating rhythms that support momentum
The outcome is a marketing ecosystem that is easier to lead, more resilient, and capable of scaling - giving leadership teams clarity and confidence in how marketing operates.
-
Brand Archetype Discovery
An engagement designed to define and articulate the core brand archetype that underpins how the business behaves, makes decisions, and shows up in market.
This work helps leadership teams gain clarity on the brand’s role, character, and intent - creating a shared reference point that guides strategic choices, priorities, and experiences. It moves beyond surface-level brand attributes to establish a durable foundation for consistency and alignment.
The engagement typically delivers:
- A clearly defined brand archetype and strategic narrative
- Behavioural principles that guide decision-making and action
- A shared framework to support alignment across teams and partners
The outcome is greater coherence, stronger alignment, and increased confidence in how the brand operates.
How I Work
A Flexible, No-Fuss Approach to Smart Marketing
I work closely with leadership teams to help make marketing clearer, simpler, and more effective.
I’m hands-on, curious, and deeply engaged in the work. I like getting to the heart of problems, asking thoughtful questions, and helping teams focus on what will genuinely move the business forward. I care about results and bring energy to the work - without creating unnecessary noise or complexity.
I’m straightforward, practical, and easy to work with. I value momentum, honesty, and good judgement. When something isn’t working, curiosity comes first - understanding why before deciding what to do next. When things are working, the focus is on strengthening what’s already effective and getting out of the way.
The work is collaborative, focused, and designed to create clarity - not disruption.
Experience and Perspective
I bring 20+ years of senior marketing experience across travel and tourism, expedition cruising, luxury retail, and professional services.
I’ve led marketing in complex, multi-market environments across Asia Pacific, working inside organisations and alongside leadership teams during periods of growth, change, and commercial pressure. This includes navigating post-pandemic recovery, business separation, global rebrands, and the ongoing challenge of aligning strategy with delivery.
That experience shapes how I work. I understand the realities of operating constraints, competing priorities, and the need for marketing to perform commercially - not just conceptually. My focus is on clarity, alignment, and helping leadership teams make better decisions about where to focus and how marketing should operate.
The advice I provide is practical, considered, and designed to work in the real world - not just in a strategy document.
Got a project in mind? Let’s talk it out.
If you’re looking for clarity, structure, or a more effective way of working in marketing, I’m always open to a conversation.
An initial discussion is simply a chance to understand your context, what’s working, and where you’re looking for support. From there, we can decide whether it makes sense to work together — and what that might look like.
No pitch. No obligation. Just a thoughtful, practical conversation.
